About the Tool (Digital Transformation Framework)

Background information

We are excited to announce the launch of our digital transformation assessment tool for the private and public sector as a support tool for the Digital Transformation Framework. This tool allows the private and public sectors to self-assess their progress on their digital transformation journey, their target progress, and considerations for strategies to consider moving towards those goals according to the proposed roadmap. It does this by going through 8 dimensions (each dimension contains sub-dimensions) and scoring each assessment question (each sub-dimension converted to a question). Each question requires an answer to a Likert-scale. This scale is defined as follows: 1= strongly disagree, 2= disagree, 3= neutral, 4= agree, and 5= strongly agree. Afterwards, the maturity level will be calculated based on the given scores on the assessment questions by the organization on the 5point Likert-scale. The maturity levels of the eight digital transformation dimensions can each be calculated separately. This will determine the maturity of an organization in the field of performing digital transformation. The figure in the below text displays the “framework for digital transformation assessment”, which describes the maturity framework at a high level. The framework contains 8 main dimensions, which are technology, strategy, culture, business process, customer, employee, data, and organization. Each dimension has several sub-dimensions. All the sub-dimensions are assessed by answering the assessment questions. Next, to calculate current maturity levels, the model asks you to fill in the current and desired maturity state. After calculating the current maturity level and knowing the desired level, we can propose a road map as well as a maturity report.
